Cinnamon Roll Christmas Tree Recipe:
1 can pillsbury cinnamon rolls
Heat Oven to 400 degrees. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper. Separate dough into 8 rolls and then take a kitchen knife and cut each roll into 4 pieces!
Take each little piece of dough and make it into a ball. You will be making the layers to your tree that will bake together. So take 10 balls and put them in a circle for the base of the tree, then 8 balls together, 6 balls together, 4 ball together, 3 balls together and then one single ball for the top of the tree! You will have 6 groups of balls (not including the one single ball for the top when you are done!
Bake the balls for roughly 8 to 10 minutes! Pro Tip: make sure the little single ball does not burn, I usually remove this ball early than the groupings!
Once you remove from the oven, heat the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls in a microwave safe container for roughly 10 – 15 seconds and then start assembling your tree! Use a large spatula to pick up your discs so they don’t break apart! Put down each layer of discs and put just a little icing on each so the next layer will stick! Once your tree is assembled drizzle the remaining icing over the tree and immediately add any sprinkles you would like! ENJOY!
Crescent Roll Christmas Tree
2 cans of Pillsbury crescent rolls
2 packages 5.5oz each of the garlic and herbs Boursin cheese
1 Tbsp. Melted Butter
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley leaves (for garnish)
Heat oven to 375. Line large cookie sheet with parchment paper. Pull apart all dough and separate into 16 triangles. Use a knife to cut each piece in half lengthwise.
Spoon about 2 teaspoons of cheese on the shortest side of each triangle. Roll it up. from the shortest side to opposite point and place them on the cookie sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree! Make sure each roll of dough is touching the one beside it so it will cook together!
I like to add a little glaze of butter at this point lightly over the entire tree before I bake and then I bake it for roughly 20 -25 minutes, take it out when it has lightly browned. Then baste the remainder of the butter over the warm rolls and sprinkle parsley for decoration! That’s all and serve!
** You can fill your crescent rolls with anything you wish! You could make this more a dessert recipe with cream cheese and jellies or do as we do and make it a fun savory appetizer
I hope you all enjoyed today’s blog post and will love adding these fun traditions to your family! I hope you will check out Walmart+ and give yourself or your loved ones the best gift this year of extra TIME doing what you love!
