Ahhh, you guys… Today I am sharing a brand new workout studio in Cameron Village shopping center, SLT RALEIGH! They opened a few short weeks ago and if you are looking for an incredible FULL BODY workout, THIS one is IT! I CLEARLY was out of shape after being pregnant for 9 months and taking an entire year and a half off working out!
What is SLT?
SLT specializes in strengthening the entire body through focusing on small slow-paced fat burning movements that lead to long lean muscles and endurance! The magic happens during the slower paces pulses and movements where you body begins to ‘shake!’ The ‘shake’ means CHANGE I learned very quickly! Today even two days later my body is still so sore, but the good sore in all those areas where you really want to target: the upper back, shoulder, glutes and abdominals! SLT uses Mega-reformers where you use springs with counter resistance weights to strengthen your body!
I’ve never done Pilates, can I do it?
YES!! There are 3 different classes available:
Essentials Class: a beginners class, intro to the reformer and a slower paced
All Levels: ANY fitness level can attend (the class that I took): This class was challenging, but you can take it at your own pace… if you need to rest, REST and then get back into the moves! If you want to push yourself try this class first!
HARDCORE: A more advanced challenging course once you are comfortable with the moves!
